AMIE Hosts Congressional Reception - 01/31/2007
Washington, D.C. - AMIE (Advancing Minorities’ Interest in Engineering) recently hosted its first Congressional Reception. The purpose of this reception, in Rayburn Office Building Foyer, was to open dialogue between Congress and AMIE’s members about encouraging minorities and other under-represented segments of our society to enter the engineering and related professions as part of our nation’s response to the changing
global environment.
