Strategic Program Manager – Avalyn W. Pace

Avalyn serves as the Strategic Program Manager for AMIE. She is responsible for identifying and implementing transformational initiatives that are aligned with the mission of AMIE and support the organization’s strategy. She works with the Executive Director and across the AMIE organization, engaging an ecosystem of AMIE Partners and alliances to develop and coordinate AMIE programs. 

She spent over 35 years at IBM in a variety of roles including software and services development, business partner integration, client engagement and operations.  Avalyn was in organizational management for over 20 years leading teams in a global network of Industry Solution Centers and Global Technical Leadership initiatives. She initially engaged with AMIE as part of the IBM team.  She was responsible for identifying and coordinating programs and resources to support the AMIE-IBM partnership. 

Avalyn is a graduate of an HBCU, Bishop College with a Bachelor of Science, major in Molecular Biology and minor in Chemistry. She also earned an MBA from the Cox School of Business, Executive Program at Southern Methodist University (SMU).  Avalyn is certified for Nonprofit Management. She is committed to the mission of AMIE and preparing the next generation of Engineers and Computer Scientist.
